Modern dresses are easy to wear, obviously very convenient and stylish attire. Madisar was a tradition, and people followed the custom without any conditions. For many, many decades, it was followed. Still, due to British Colonization and modernization, Traditional dresses like Nauvari Saree, 9 Yards Madisar Saree, and many more Indian Traditions dress wearing became significantly less, and people wore the latest fashion clothes, which were comfortable and also beautiful.
In our Iyer and Iyengar Tradition, 90% of people still use the Madisar saree but only for functions.
It will be carried forward to the next many decades only if today's generation takes a Challenge and wears the madisar at least weekly one day, Mangalam and Devi Mata day that is FRIDAY.
