
While performing subha karma or Apara karma. The husband should wear panchakacham and his wife should wear madisar saree, after wearing this dress legs should be washed before sitting to perform the karma
The wife wearing madisar saree should stand slightly behind to the right of her husband holding one end of the tharpa and placing the other end on the right shoulder of her husband
While performing Apara karma the madisar wife will stand to the left of her husband. At the time of getting the blessings from the priest the madisar wife will move from right to left from behind to her husband. She will hold one end of the angavastram to receive the red rice or akshada. After getting the blessings the madisar wife will go from front side of her husband to his right
Both the husband and wife will do namaskaram to the priest
