VARALAKSHMI POOJA AND ITS SIGNIFICANCE PART 1
1.This year Varalakshmi Pooja should be celebrated on Friday 20th August 2021
2.Varalakshmi Pooja will always occur on a Friday before poornima
3.On this day Sumangali ladies worship Goddess Mahalakshmi
1.Some Ladies Invite Mahallakshmi on the previous day that is Thursday.The image of the Mahalakshmi is placed on a Kalasa
2.The Kalasa is filled with rice that is symbolically showing the Paddy
3.Coins are put into the Kalasa.This symbolically represents not only asking for wealth but also for savings
4.Bettle,Bettle nuts and turmeric pieces and also put inside the Kalasa
this symbolically represents our prayer for Mangalya bhakya
The Kalasa is decorated with Banana leaves and a coconut is placed in the middle of the banana leaf
The banana leaf drive away evil spirits
The top Portion of the coconut will remove all our sins
Some other ladies will invite Mahalakshmi on Morning of Friday.This will be done from entrance of the house to the Pooja place inside the room.Before inviting her from the entrance Mahalakshmi should be worshiped with a small prayer
After the small prayer
a. Dupa
b.Deepa
c.Nivethya
d.Karpuraarthi
d.Pushpanjalli should be performed in the above mentioned order
The person who does the Pooja must wear a saree in MADISAR. This is because the folding of the Madisar helps to prevent earth's vibration and gravitation
The performer should sit on a plank.This will further reduce the earth vibration
After doing Ganapathy Pooja and Kalasa pooja Mahalakshmi Pooja should be done.
After the Pooja Mangala sutra with grantis should be tied on the right hand
The tying should be done after doing the granti pooja by an elderly person
Summangli should be invited to the function and they should be given beetlw nuts fruits and coconut.
Cocount giving is equivalent to donating a cow
In the evening again Dupa,Deepa Nivedhanam Karpura aarth all should be done to Mahalakshmi
And then the image should be removed from the Kalalsa and placed in a rice container on Saturday after finishing ponar pooja, It should be taken out on Sunday Morning
